Ruth Barnes.

Ruth spent over 10 years at the BBC working as a music journalist, presenter and documentary maker. She collaborates with brands and networks across a range of entertainment titles including one of BBC Sounds highest performing shows, Obsessed With. Ruth brings her extensive on air experience to working with talent of all levels to help them find their podcast voice.

Helen Parker

Helen has over 20 years experience building and expanding companies in fast-growing media sectors. She was in e-commerce telling brands to pay attention to this new thing called online shopping and now she’s in media marketing telling them to pay attention to podcasting. She’s our expert strategist, turning corporate goals into fun and creative projects.

Jason Phipps

Jason leads our development team. He is a former Commissioning Editor for BBC Sounds where he won a Peabody award for his work across genres from blue-chip journalistic serialised podcasts to blockbuster dramas. Previously he was Head of Audio at The Guardian and believer in the unique power of audio in the digital age.

Lily Ames

Lily approaches content from a transatlantic perspective with experience on both sides of the Atlantic from CBC, VICE and The Guardian. She is in charge of building and managing the growth of the productions and teams, and leads on our people-first approach strategy. Lily is a connector in the audio industry and runs the biggest network for professional podcasters in the UK.

Sarah Stolarz

Sarah has 15 years professional audio experience via Deutsche Welle and the BBC World Service in news, current affairs and documentary-making. Most recently she ran ‘The Food Chain’ - a James Beard award winning podcast at the BBC on the culture and economics of food. She’s now leading production of a top secret narrative series on an espionage controversy in F1.

Laura Hyde

Laura is the Managing Producer at C&B and supports the whole team with her wide-ranging expertise and experience. She takes pride in getting the best out of all talent - from accredited academics to Hollywood celebs. Laura pioneered production on our first Original, the Solo Collective, and runs our long-running series for Net-a-Porter.

Emily Whalley

Em works across production and development, and is our go-to person for concept, format and strand ideas. A pop culture fanatic, she is excited to be producing the newest series of Obsessed With… whilst also developing new pitches across factual, entertainment and comedy.

Matt Nielson

Matt is our creative and technical sound lead, crafting music, archive and interviews as heard in The Frost Tapes and also the ground-breaking series for adidas' Rebellious Optimists. A self-confessed nerd and with an ear for the peculiar, Matt likes nothing more than hunting down weird and wonderful stories.

Nasson Da Silva

Nasson is part of our growing engineering team. He approaches setting up mics with the same care he has for his own music. His happy place is deep in a mix and enveloped in his Sony MDR-7506’s. He’s always on the lookout for someone else who listens to as many French-speaking philosophy podcasts as him.
